Water

Water, water, everywhere and not a drop to drink! Burst pipe, or rather a little loose pipe end stop and poor Dina gets flooded from above. She'd only been here in the house a couple of weeks! She must have thought the sky had fallen in...

As it turned out, she's left completely. Poor girl, seemed like a nice sort to me...

Nature in its majesty

Sitting here in the rather warm autumn sunshine, looking over the saltmarshes and mudflats of the Humber estuary, I feel so at ease with the world. Its so tranquil, the sounds of the many seabirds drifting across on the gentle breeze that ruffles the grasses and reeds as it passes. The spiders floating gossamer strands billow in the wind, draping themselves in filmy threads across everything that catches on them.

Nature is wonderful today. Its truly a wide open sky out here.

Oooo-er!

Talk about an unpleasant episode! I was just minding the house and the dog for Nick & Elaine, and their landlord came banging on the door! And I thought mine was bad. This one has a serious attitude problem that needs adjusting, pronto. What a irritating old man he was, made me shake with nerves aferwards, due to the confrontation.

No wonder Nick & Elaine have had enough of him, I think I would have by now. Even standing half naked in the rain currently falling outside would be more bearable.

All quiet on the Eastern Front....

Nothing much is happening. Still stuck in a limbo, everything's moving slowly, and I feel tired and out of sorts for no good reason. Ah well, into each life a little crap must gently fall.
