Late night down the observatory...

Sometimes its handy to not have a tomorrow to worry about too much. 00:44 am and the observatory is gently abuzz with murmurs of decision-making, observers (just the three of us) filled with tea or coffee, and picking at chocolate biscuits. In the dome, Paul and George are experimenting with imaging details, camera information and deliberating on what to observe.

Me? I'm part time tea-boy, telescope operator and all round Goon (The Goon Show entitled "Under two Floorboards" playing in the background)! There's something to be said for suchlike, to relieve the silence and monotony of the night between calls for fresh targets! There's only so much you can do in silence, only so many times you can ogle pictures of the delightful Myleene Klass...

Better go, there's a call for a fresh object... :)
