Time for a post!!

3 weeks??!!!! Gad, that's terrible.... Just a wee update on the TfL job interview, I didn't get it. I passed the written tests very easily, but didn't make the 'customer interaction role play' good enough. Ah well, at least I can go back in the future and try again.

Ok. Most of you will have seen what happened to this city of Hull, after the last time I posted, so I won't dwell on it. It'll take time though, to recover and hopefully will be better than it was before.

A week or so back, I saw something that made me smile. If you know me well, then you'll know that I HATE people who are lazy enough to ride their bikes on the pavement!! Well, as I walked into town last week, (only about 20 minutes) I saw a pavement rider get stopped by two police support officers (uniformed but no powers of arrest I believe) and given a right telling off. About time, cos grown adults shouldn't need to ride their bikes on the pavement. If you have a problem with riding a bike on the road, then, in my opinion, you shouldn't have one. If you don't like the traffic, then don't even think about it. I'm all for proper cycle lanes and paths, but where there isn't any facilities for your bike, then you should be prepared to ride on the road. If you aren't then tough.

The astronomy has been a lot slower, due the weather, which is atypical for the time of year, well sort of, I guess. We've had no settled spells of sunny weather yet and by the way its going, I can't see where one will come from. Ho hum, back to the old fashioned summers of old...
